All papers and book reviews must be original and previously unpublished. They should be submitted according to the following guidelines:
- The preferred mode of submission is by email attachment to editors@augustiniana.be. Papers may be submitted as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), Rich Text Format (.rtf) or Portable Document Format (.pdf) files. Manuscripts may also be submitted by post in hard-copy to the correspondence address. They will not be returned.
- Submitted papers undergo a double blind review. They are reviewed by independent referees, as coordinated by the editor. Manuscripts should be prepared for anonymous refereeing, with revealing acknowledgements and self-identifying references removed. These references may of course be reinserted upon acceptance of the paper.
- The languages of publication are English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
- Authors are requested to include their full name, any affiliation, and the title of the paper in the body of the email (or in a separate letter in case of hard-copy submission). All submissions will be acknowledged by email. Comments on submissions will be returned electronically, unless otherwise requested.
- All manuscripts should be double-spaced, including all quotations and notes, which should be numbered consecutively.
- An abstract of the article (around 250 words) must be included, as also a few key words.
- Submission of a paper to Augustiniana will be taken to imply that the paper is not under editorial consideration elsewhere.
- Authors of accepted submissions will be asked to prepare a version of the article using the Augustiniana house style and send it by email in a suitably formatted and encoded electronic version. Hard copy is also required. Authors will receive one set of proofs, which will require immediate correction. Author’s changes will not be accepted at proof stage. Authors of articles and of book reviews will receive a free PDF version of their contribution. The author's affiliation and address will be shown at the end of his/her article, and is therefore also required at the submission.
